The levels of the game were to be 3D, but with a fixed camera giving you a clear overview of the levels. Furthermore, to add to the sensation of it being a surreal environment, the maps dissolve behind you. The game would feature a variety of creatures, one of whom you may well recognise. Based on the players performance in a map, it may transition from dream to nightmare, with every creature having two manifestations, one benevolent, one benign, as portrayed by the following concept art. The characters were also generally inspired by designer [...]

The following will be a series of posts for a team project: A small puzzle platformer, based around indirectly manipulating a sleep walking child through their dreams and nightmares, keeping them safe from hazards and fiends by solving spatial puzzles.
